How to play

The grid

  • Every row and every column is a word: ten in all, none repeated.
  • Green tiles are already yours. Tap a row or column tab to work on that line.
  • Check line marks it: green is the right letter in the right cell, amber is in that word elsewhere, brick is not in it at all.
  • A green cell is pinned in both its lines. That is how the grid pays you back.

The budget

  • Six checks. Five correct lines turn all 25 tiles green, so you have exactly one to spare.
  • A misspelling or a non-word costs you nothing. It is refused, not counted.
  • Run out and the grid reveals: recorded unsolved, definitions still shown.
